Erin loved to help others. It was this act of kindness that led her to her untimely death. One way for me to make sense of her passing and honor her would be to carry on her legacy by helping others. Erin was a cosmetologist and put her heart and soul into what she did. Erin attended Blades School of Hair Design in her 11th year of high school. After speaking with the director of Financial Aid, Liz Halvosa, I learned that many cosmetologist are victims of domestic violence because of their loving and giving personality. Ms. Halvosa greatly impressed me with her dedication and personal support to A Better Life Foundation.
